ROAD CYCLING GROUPS

Road Cycling is the core discipline of most cycling clubs. But road cycling itself comes in many shapes and sizes.

OUR WEEKLY RIDE LINE-UP

Tuesdays

  • Turbo Night (November – March): High-energy evening turbo sessions to keep you fit and strong through the winter months.

  • Time Trial Tuesday (Spring & Summer, 6 PM): Test your speed and push your limits on this exciting, fast-paced regional event.

 

Wednesdays

  • Warriors Ride (9.30 AM, All Year): A solid ride to kickstart your day – perfect for consistent riders.

  • Scenic Ride (9.30 AM, All Year): A relaxed, social ride at an easygoing pace – enjoy the journey, not just the destination.

  • Hot Chocolate Evening Ride (6 PM, Winter): Sociable evening spins to keep the pedals turning, finished with a warming hot chocolate.

  • Recreational Ride (6 PM, Spring & Summer): New to cycling? This one’s for you! A relaxed, short ride followed by drinks and a friendly chat.

 

 

 

Thursdays

  • Regional Chain-Gang (6 PM, Spring & Summer): A fast-paced, high-energy training ride that brings together cyclists from across the region.

  • Gravel Ride (5:15pm): An evening gravel ride exploring Monmouthshire's finest gravel. Usually finishing with a pub stop.

 

 

 

Saturdays

  • Steady Café Ride (Café-Ride) (8 AM): A super steady, social ride where the slowest riders set the pace. Nobody gets left behind, and there’s always a coffee and cake stop to keep things fun and friendly.

  • Intermediate Ride (i-Ride) (8 AM): A perfect balance of pace and distance, with a well-earned coffee and cake stop. Great for building confidence and endurance.

  • Progressive Ride (P-Ride) (8 AM): Want to up your game? Conquer challenging routes and hills, always with coffee and cake to reward your efforts.

 

 

 

Sundays

  • Speedies Ride (8 AM): Ride with the fastest – 100 km at 30+ kph. The ultimate challenge for experienced cyclists.
